We thought this was a decoration in our hotel room, but it turns out to be edible & quite delicious. Snakeskin Fruit.

It's a mangosteen. Ahhh...one of the many benefits being a Pacific Asian Islander (as we're referred to these days) growing up in Hawaii.
Hope you got to taste some of these fruits! Lychee (fresh, not the yucky canned stuff) is my fave! And the dragon fruit taste much better than it looks. Kinda a cross between a pear and kiwi.

Oh we ate everything, Debby... once we figured out how to get into it. You win the prize though for fruit identification. We sure are missing fresh fruit back in Alaska.
